This Easter Math packet includes two number line puzzles, Easter patterns, and Easter egg number puzzles. One number line puzzle is numbered 1 – 10; the other number line puzzle is numbered 11 – 20. Laminate; cut along the vertical lines; allow the children to put the puzzles together by lining up the numbers in correct numerical order. For the Easter patterns, cut out the cut and paste patterns. Give the cut-out patterns to the children along with the pattern page. Allow the children to paste the correct missing pattern. For the Easter egg number puzzles, laminate the pages; cut out the puzzle pieces; allow the children to put the puzzles together. The puzzles contain a number word and the amount of Easter eggs matching that number on one side; the puzzles also contain a number and dice with the correct number of dots. This provides children with many opportunities to count and learn numbers. They may see the numbers and number words; they may count the dots on the dice, and they may count the Easter eggs to find the puzzle matches. These puzzles are for numbers 1 -10. There is one page worth of number line puzzles, one page worth of Easter patterns, and five pages worth of Easter egg number puzzles.

This December Holiday packet includes literacy and maths activities for celebrating various holidays. There are Christmas graphics; there are also graphics that will work for any December Holiday celebration; there are graphics like gifts and holiday cupcakes. The packet includes Holiday pre-writing practice, Holiday do-a-dot letters. Holiday 1 to 1 correspondence counting cards, and Holiday roll a number card. Print and cut all the cards out along the borders. For Holiday pre-writing cards, the cards come in different sizes with variations of pre-writing marks. There are also blank cards with graphics only. Place whichever cards you choose in your literacy station along with writing utensils. Allow children to trace the various marks. Allow children to use the blank cards to make their own pre-writing marks. This is good for fine motor as well as pre-writing practice. For Holiday do-a-dot letters, pick which cards you want to use. Place the cards in your literacy station. Place washable dot markers in your literacy center. Allow children to dot the letters with the markers. Encourage children to say the name of the letters aloud. This also helps with fine motor skills in addition to letter recognition. For Holiday 1 to 1 correspondence, the cards have numbers and number words. The cards also have a unicorn and a number of cupcakes that match the number on the card. Place the cards in your maths station. Give the children foam stickers that can represent candy. The stickers can be candy stickers, or they can just be glittery circle stickers. Tell the children that they need to decorate the unicorn’s Holiday cupcake with candies. Allow the children to stick one sticker on each cupcake on the card. Encourage the children to touch the foam stickers then count each number to figure out the end number. For Holiday roll a number, place this card in your maths station. Allow the children to roll dice. Allow children to count the dots on the dice that they rolled. Allow children decorate the Holiday cupcake with candies. Allow children to place the correct amount of foam stickers on the Holiday cupcake. Example: If a four is rolled, four stickers should be placed on the cupcake.

These play based shape activities are perfect for young learners just learning shapes and colors. Included are shape cards. Print out as many of the cards as you wish. Then simply laminate, cut, and use! There are shape cards for sorting games. Allow the children to sort the cards by like shapes that are also big and little or by color. You may make as many copies of the cards as you wish so that their may be more matches to sort! The green cards have one matching shape card each; one matching shape is big and the other small; the shapes that match are different colors. This way the cards allow for multiple ways to sort. Also, there are cards for a memory matching game. One copy of each cards will work for a memory game. There are no matching shapes on the purple cards. Make at least two copies for matches! Lastly, there is also shapes for making a shape robot!

Various summer fine motor practice pages are included in this resource. This resource includes summer themed do-a-dot activities, summer themed scissor skills practice pages, cut and paste summer collage art activity, and fireflies in a jar dot with finger paint craft. For the do-a-dot activities, allow the children to dot the circles on the summer themed pages with a bingo dauber or a dot marker. For the scissor skills practice pages, there are straight line bugs in the grass, straight line cut in half summer graphics, cut from corner to corner summer graphics, and cut the circle beach ball. Give the children scissors; allow the children to cut the dots on the pages. For the cut and paste summer collage, there are summer graphics; there are also kids at the beach clip art for this activity. Provide the children with poster board, construction paper, or card stock. Allow the children to cut out the summer graphics; allow the children to paste their graphics onto paper to create a collage. Children will use their fine motor skills as they cut and paste, but you can also provide other art materials that allow for creativity for the children since this is also an art project. You can also provide such materials as glitter, crayons, and markers. After the children have cut and pasted and created their collages, they can decorate their pictures more! Allow for as much creativity as possible! For the fireflies in a jar dot with finger paint craft, the fireflies have circles on the glow part. Give the children yellow washable finger paint. Allow the children to dip their fingers into the paint; allow the children to dot the circles on the fireflies with the finger paint. Students will enjoy these fun summer themed fine motor skills pages. They are a great, engaging and fun way to practice these important early skills! There are seventeen pages full of fine motor activities.

This Valentine’s Day Maths packet includes Valentine cupcake roll a number, four number line puzzles, and Valentine’s Day chocolate kisses memory matching game. These are perfect play based learning activities to add to your Valentine’s Day themed math center. Children will learn number recognition, learn colour recognition, and practice fine motor skills. For Valentine’s cupcake roll a number, make a copy for each student. You may laminate to use again if you wish. Allow children to roll dice. Allow children to count the dots on their dice. Allow children to decorate their Valentine cupcake with candies. They may use real candies such as conversation hearts, or they may use foam stickers or mini erasers to decorate. Encourage the children to put the same number of candies on their cupcake as the number that they rolled. Valentine’s Day number line puzzles come in Valentine owls and Valentine teddy bear. Both owl and teddy bear puzzles come with numbers 1 to 10 and numbers 11 to 20. Laminate the puzzles. Cut the puzzles down the lines. Place whichever puzzle you wish to use in your maths station. Allow children to put the puzzle together by lining up the numbers in correct numerical order. For Valentine’s Day chocolate kisses memory matching game, allow children to match the chocolate kisses by color. Make two copies of each chocolate kiss card. Laminate and cut out the cards. The chocolate kisses come in blue, green, orange, yellow, pink, purple, red, grey, and white. Encourage children to make matches by finding kisses that are the same colour. This resource has eight pages worth of activities. Most of the cards and puzzles are two to a page.

This math and literacy packet includes complete the patterns, two number puzzles (1-5 and 6-10), Hh is for hat, dot letters, and “My wish is…” writing project. All the activities are St. Patrick’s Day themed. For dot letters, write a letter on the paper provided; give the children dot markers or paint and Q-tips; finally, allow the children to find the matches, and to dot the matches. Dot letters includes a page of blank shamrocks; add your own letters to the shamrocks! “My wish is…” literacy activity can be done as a craftivity, or it can be done just as a writing project. Make copies, and cut out the literacy activity paper below. Ask the children what their wish is; write what they say on the paper. Lastly, the paper can be pasted onto a paper bag puppet project; or it can be left as is. Your Early Learners will enjoy all of these hands on math and literacy activities!

Cut out the do-a-dot cards; set a few of the cards in your maths station. Give the children do-a-dot markers. The cards have the numeric number on the upper left corner. Allow the children to identify the number and to find the matching numbers on the pumpkin. Allow the children to dot the matches. Example: If the card has number 10, the children should find all number 10’s and place a dot on each number 10 on the pumpkin. Help children find the correct number to dot if they need help. The cards also have the number word at the bottom; the word is dotted. Children may trace the number word, or they may dot the word with dot markers. Do-A-Dot cards are numbered 1 - 10. The cards come in both small or large card options; choose whichever works best in your classroom.
